Meet Susie Hoimes
Collecting has never been about ownership. It has always been about discovery. Born in Kenya to British parents, she grew up surrounded by color and craftsmanship, drawn early to the transformative power of adornment.
In 1990 she founded MDVII, named for the Roman numerals of her first San Francisco boutique, building one of the country's premier destinations for haute couture costume jewelry from Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Schiaparelli and the legendary houses. To Susie, the finest pieces do more than adorn, connecting us to artistry and memory.
